There’s no glamorous origin story here.Schaner Logistics LLC started with one vehicle, one certification, and one conviction — that a service-disabled veteran could build something meaningful in Central Pennsylvania’s medical courier market. The BeginningAfter years of managing large-scale government contracts at the director level, I knew how federal procurement worked from the inside. I understood what agencies needed, what vendors got wrong, and where the gaps in service existed. What I didn’t have was a fleet, a warehouse, or outside capital. What I did have was a DD-214, a VA disability rating, a commercial driver’s background, and a willingness to outwork everyone in the room.So I started driving. Not because driving was the goal. Because proving the model was the first step toward building the business. What SDVOSB Really MeansThe Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business certification isn’t a shortcut. It’s a recognition that veterans who sustained injuries in service to this country deserve a legitimate path to build businesses that last. For Schaner Logistics, the certification opened doors to federal contracting channels, VA procurement relationships, and strategic partnerships with national logistics companies who needed a certified SDVOSB partner in our market. But the certification alone doesn’t win contracts. The execution does.Where We’re GoingThe vision for Schaner Logistics has never been to stay small. The goal is to build Central Pennsylvania’s premier SDVOSB medical courier network — with W2 employees, real health benefits, and the kind of workplace that takes care of people the way the military should have taken care of us.We’re building contracts, building partnerships, and building a team. One delivery at a time. One relationship at a time. One contract at a time.Jesus is King. His will be done.
